The Pixel 4 is, overall, my favorite phone that Google has ever made. It’s wonderfully compact, it has a good telephoto lens, and I’m a huge fan of the secure face unlock. It launched at $ 800 in 2019, which a lot of people thought was high for what the little guy is offering. If you’re in that camp but have always wanted to try one, now is the perfect time: it’s $ 400 on Amazon.
Now, that’s probably not much if you’re looking for a new daily driver: the Pixel 4’s battery is unequivocally bad, and its software end of support date arrives as early as October 2022. But it also gets Android 12 and 13 (and should be eligible for the latter’s beta), so if you’re a developer or just an avid Android geek and want to stay on top of the latest developments for next year and change up, that’s definitely an option.
The discount is available on Amazon on the shiny Just Black model. Stocks are running out, so if you like it you probably shouldn’t wait.
